The house K is at the end
of an access road in the Southtyrolean village of St. Pauls and borders
directly on a wine-growing area.
It provides housing for
three families. They use separate entrances and share a driveway, located on
the north side, and a large garden area with swimming pond which lies to the
south. All three units are oriented towards the pond and lawn.
It is in this project is a
renovation with extension. Therefore, parts of the building, created in the
70s remained, while the top floor was removed and the house was extended on the
The annex of the building
adapts perfectly to the given hillside location. This way, the lower-lying
areas that are small and with low light, can be used as secondary rooms, while the
rooms with more natural light form the sleeping and the living area. Moreover
the flat roof of the extension can be used as a terrace, and downstairs the outdoor
area is partly covered and creates a cozy gazebo.
The house is heated by a pellet
