BEVERAGE MARKET HARPF

Violet in the art of drinking

2015
retail

The Harpf company is located in the industrial area of the city of Bruneck, directly on a busy street. Next to the existing company headquarters lies a new innovative drinks market, which characterfully stands out against the surrounding buildings.

The result is a space in which art and pleasure fuse. Customers embark on an immersive journey through the world of beverages. The central element of the project is the corporate color violet, which runs harmoniously through the entire building. Visible from afar, the imposing organic roof floats above the building, slightly raised from the lamellar structure. Large rounded wooden volumes act as a frame to the market.

Visitors reach the inviting, artistically designed entrance via the car park. Large window areas at the entrance offer insights into the shop. Inside, the individual beverage departments are arranged like free-standing market stalls and thus offer an optimal overview of the product range. Above the stalls, glass panels open up views of the mountain range, while the street and surrounding buildings are purposefully hidden. Above the cash desk area in the centre of the market, a large skylight provides natural light.

The new building was constructed on top of an existing underground warehouse.
For this reason, a lightweight timber construction was chosen, which also made it possible to complete the building in just two months of construction time. This meant that the company’s ongoing business could be continued without interruption.
