PARAPHARMACY EPPAN

At the entrance to the village of Eppan in Northern Italy, a new pharmacy was built that stands out from conventional pharmacies due to its futuristic design. The project reflects modernity and new scientific developments and enables customers to immerse themselves in the future. Thorough analyses of the movement sequences as well as the limited floor space have resulted in an optimized floor plan and a versatile space.

The central inspiration for the design was the pharmacist’s cabinet, whose lines frame the spaces. Curved shapes give the pharmacy a dynamic interior and visually expand the limited floor plan. Clear lines, flowing volumes and detailed light studies are reminiscent of the art of abstract futurism.

Rotating shelves, fixed between floor and ceiling, make the spatial arrangement versatile and at the same time provide privacy from the outside without blocking the influx of light. The products are skillfully staged in niches on the display window side.

The centerpiece of the project is the custom-made sales and service counter made of Corian. Indirect lighting at the base of the counter makes it float above the white marble floor, lending the large counter a playful lightness. The colour white is used throughout the entire project. This monochromatic colour choice deliberately brings the colourful sales assortment into the spotlight.
